Independent Non-Profit · Agentic AI Governance
Governing the Agentic Age
Autonomous AI agents now transact, negotiate, and act with real-world consequence — often with little human oversight. TAG exists to register, certify, monitor, and hold accountable the agents that increasingly mediate human life.
Funded by grants, philanthropy, and member contributions — not by the companies it certifies.

workers may need to transition to new occupations by 2030 as agentic automation reshapes routine work.
The Governance Gap
Agentic AI acts. Existing regulation was built for AI that only speaks.
Agents transact, delegate to other agents, and run continuously with no natural pause point for human review. When something goes wrong, it is often unclear who acted, under whose authority, and how to trace the harm — a gap no existing framework was designed to close.
Registration
Verifiable, auditable identity for every agent capable of consequential action.
Certification
Minimum technical standards for authentication, permissioning, and interoperability.
Monitoring
Real-time auditability for agents operating in finance, health, and infrastructure.
Accountability
Proportionate enforcement — from remediation to registry suspension.

"The question is no longer simply whether a system's output is accurate or fair — it is who is accountable when an autonomous agent acts, and how we know, in real time, what it is doing and on whose authority."
